Why do my contacts give me double vision?

I just got a new prescription for the contact lenses. Everything is fine but my left eye have slightly double vision. I also have astigmatism. Can this be caused the improper lens fitting?

Maybe the lens is not properly fitting and you will suffer double vision if they are unproper for you. The base curve is very important in lens fitting and if you get wrong BC number, it is just like a big head wearing a small hat. You should be re-fitted. Sometimes you may try different types to find the most fitted one.
