What to do for a fireworks eye injury?

  • #2
As we all know, we always are exciting when we shoot fireworks. However, we always do not pay attention to the protection aspect. If an eye injury from fireworks occurs, remember that do not rub your eyes and rinse your eyes. Do not apply pressures and remove any objects that are stuck in the eye. Do not apply ointments or take any blood-thinning pain medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen. You need to seek medical attention immediately.

If you accidentally get something in your eyes when setting off fireworks, flush your eyes with tap water or sterile saline solution. Do not rub your eyes because that could cause greater injury or an infection. If you are losing vision or get a lot of pain, you need to seek for immediate medicare attention.
