  • Why do my eyes shake when i wake up?

My eyes shake when i wake up in the morning. What makes it happen? Is it a sign of eye diseases?

The eyelids are shaking because the eyelid muscles, just like the leg muscles for the convulsion. It may be caused including overwork, stress, lacking of rest or with eye improperly used, but usually not a sign of eye diseases. It tends to be short, and does not require medication, just relax your spirit, have a good moon, make the appropriate massage. And the symptoms will reduce or disappear. Otherwise, eat more fruit will be helpful, too.

Does this phenomenon appear very often? Or is it the only time you felt this? If it is not common for you, you may have eye strain. Your eyes are telling you that they are tired and need more rest. If your eyes shake more often, you may have dry eyes.

I do not know your details clearly, but I know one common medical sense that our eye balls keep shaking in a fast speed when we are sleeping. In that way, we may guess that you are probably not awake physiologically. I just want to know if you have an abnormal living clock, because, sometime your body just can not adjust itself to adapt your new clock timely. My advice is to have a relative normal clock and pay more attention to your eyes (including regular test and care about the new symptoms) to decide whether it is necessary to see your doctor.
