Does eye color affect a person's ability to distinguish colors?

I just want to know if people with different eye color can see things in the same color? Or the eye color can affect their ability to distinguish colors?

No, eye color doesn't affect the vision of someone or the color sensation. People with different eye color see things exactly the same, no matter size, color or shape. Eye color is decided by the amount of melanin in iris of the person. While ability to see colors is decided by the rods and cones in our retina.
