  • How often should I replace my glasses?

Should I change them regularly or unless my prescription get changed? How about you?

  • #2
Generally an eyeglass prescription is effective for one year, sometimes longer. If your vision get worsening in both eyes or either eye, you should have an eye examination, Then your doctor may check to see if you need a new pair of glasses or of there is other eye diseases that need requirement.

It is advised to have an eye exam once a year to see whether your prescription has changed or you have got other eye problems. If your vision doesn't change, you can keep your glasses for a longer time.

If my vision doesn't change, I won't replace my glasses. Sometime I wear a pair of glasses for 2-3 years. So it just depends on your own conditions.
