Why my transition lens didn't change in the sun?

They are almost clear indoors but dont change at all in the sun. Does this mean they are fake?

Perhaps your transition glasses have been out of service. Generally, the service time of transition lens is 1~2 years. If you have worn your transition glasses for a long time, they may not change color anymore because the silver ions embedded in the lenses may have been destroyed. Perhaps you need to change a new pair.

I've heard that transition glasses are easy to change the color in a low temperature. You can put your transition glasses in the freezer for some time. Then you take them out to see whether they change the color.
