Are mesh goggles safe?

I think so. Wearing them, I can breathe as I wish and don' t need to worry if my goggle will be fogged up. That is very cool, right? And compared to regular goggles, they are much lighter and much more protective. Think of this, if mine is made of glass, what if they got shattered? I would definitely go blind.
