  • What power should I go for ready made swimming goggles?

I am currently looking to buy prescribed goggles, and i have -2.25 in the left eye and -1.75 in the right. But i find most of the power options don't show the power lens that I require and they only give you a general power, not specific to each eye, What power should I go for ready made swimming goggles?

As there is not much difference of prescription in your both eyes, you can take a balanced power and buy ready made prescribed swimming goggles in -2.00. Both eyes won't be quite equal in vision but this will not make much difference when you are swimming.

I don't think the ready made prescribed swimming goggles are good choices. It is better to buy goggles from your optician that can be made with your exact prescription in each eye.

Swimming googles that are ready made have the same prescription in each eye, so you can't get exactly the correct prescription that fit you well. However, you can choose one that are closer to your prescription, like -2.00 or -1.75.

If you have different prescription in both eyes, you'd better not get your swimming goggles that are ready made. The off the shelf ready glazed swimming googles have same prescription in both lenses, which can't fit you well. So you can buy your swimming goggles from your optician that can be made with your exact prescription.
