I tried to fix my eyeglasses frame with super glue but I I got it on the plastic lens. What can I do?

If the lenses are glass, you can use your nail varnish remover. But if they are plastic, the acetone in nail varnish remover will affect the plastic. Rubbing alcohol may work to remove the superglue. Moisten a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and gently blot at the glue that you want to remove. When the glue softens, use a clean cloth to blot it away.

If it's plastic, the best solution is to soak in hot water is. If it's glass you can use polish remover, however it will damage any coating you have on it as well.

Do not use Acetone or nail varnish remover to remove superglue from plastic lens, otherwise it will damage the lens. However, you can apply alcohol. Just rubbing alcohol with a cotton swab to make the glue soft. Then it is easy to remove the superglue from plastic lens.

One of the best ways is heating up the super glue to make it soft. Once the glue become soft, it is easy to get rid of it from the plastic lens. After you heat it up, you can use brass to clean the gunk off of your glasses.

If you cannot remove the superglue from plastic the lens on your own, you can take your eyeglasses back to your optician. The worker there will help you fix your plastic lens for free.
